This Week's Topic: How is your year coming along?
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” - Proverbs 29:18 Dear Friend, It’s
hard to believe we’re more than halfway through the year! Earlier this
year, I challenged you to dream big and create a compelling vision for
2007. This week, I’d like for you to take a moment to ask yourself two
questions: 1. What are you most proud of so far this year? Reflect
on your progress so far this year in the five key areas of your life -
relationships, work, finances, health and spiritual life. What have
you accomplished? What shifts have you made? What goals have you met or
started to move towards? What positive character traits have you had to
use in order to make progress. It's important to give yourself credit
for what you have done rather than beating yourself up for what you
haven't done. So after you make a list of what you are proud of, take
your right hand, place it over your left shoulder ... and pat yourself
on the back! 2. What do you want to accomplish before the year is over? If
you haven't already, write down a clear vision for what looks different
in your life five months from now. Is there something you’ve been
procrastinating about and now it’s time to get going? It’s only July,
so you still have time – but NOW is the time. It’s important to
celebrate our milestones as we reach them, while continuing to walk
towards new ones. What milestone will you reach by year’s end? Whether
your focus is improving a relationship, eating healthier, saving and
investing more, reducing debt or simply enjoying life more, consider
this message your gentle reminder to clarify and refocus your vision. There
is still time to make a decision that can be a turning point for you.
Only you know what that means for you - and only you can make the
choices that will transform the remainder of this year. Consider this
message your nudge to do what you know it's time to do. :)
Until next time ... Warm wishes,
